RawAutos.com is an automotive website that was created in 2007 so that one man could say whatever the hell he wanted about cars. Josh Lewis, the founder and publisher of RawAutos.com, is now, finally, creating a podcast where he and anyone else can say whatever the hell they want about cars, the industry, current politics related to the industry, and of course the future of the automobile and the technology surrounding it.

Episode 18 - News and 2020 Ford Ranger Lariat FX4 Review
Monday May 25, 2020
Monday May 25, 2020
On the 18th episode of The RawAutos Podcast, I talk to you about Hertz, the Coca-Cola 600, the fact that trucks overtook cars in sales for the first month ever, and then I read you a lullaby that is my review of the 2020 Ford Ranger Lariat FX4.
As always, you can visit RawAutos.com for a full write-up with gorgeous photos of the Ranger and any other vehicle I've reviewed.
Also, drop me a line at josh@rawautos.com and let me know if you prefer a Podcast review like this one, or more like the one I did for the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition back in Episode 14.
Of course, if you are at all feeling generous, you can throw me a dollar bill or two to patreon.com/rawautos.
Oh, and don't forget to find RawAutos on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, and like/subscribe there, too.
Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to those who have served and continue to serve our country. And thank you to the people working their butts off during the Coronavirus pandemic to make life easier for many people, and of course the doctors, nurses, EMTs, EMS, and everyone else handling this horrible disease.

Episode 17 - Rory Carroll
Monday May 18, 2020
Monday May 18, 2020
For the seventeenth episode of The RawAutos Podcast, I am joined by a new friend, the recently minted Editor-in-Chief of Jalopnik.com, Rory Carroll. Rory was formerly the man in charge of Autoweek before it went fully digital. He's also worked for Hagerty's collector car insurance as a liaison to their legislative affairs. But before all of that, he was just a humble college grad who accidentally got a chance to intern for the Michigan House of Representatives, and then later stumbling into a job in the Michigan State Senate. Rory has fun stories to share. We also take a slight dive into his collection of automobiles, running his car off the road on the way to his job meeting for the Senate, and what day 1 of starting at Jalopnik was like during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Episode 16 - Scott Vandekerchove
Monday May 11, 2020
Monday May 11, 2020
In this episode, I speak with Mercedes-AMG Retail Training Specialist, Scott Vandekerchove. Scott is a very interesting person. He was once a cop, and left to get into the automotive industry. I'm shortening that up a bit as we dive deep into his life story. We talk for close to 3 hours, and I feel every bit of it is great. We also get into the dream AMGs that Scott would want in his garage, both older and newer models. And he also has one hell of a story about a red CLK63 AMG Black Series. Towards the end of the podcast, Scott turns the tables and asks me a few questions, and we chat about our mutual love for Robocop and why it's a perfect film, and my love of Robin Williams, Howard Stern, and Al Pacino.
It's a long show, but I feel it's worth it to listen to each second.

Episode 13 - Derek Shiekhi
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Derek Shiekhi is a personal friend and motoring journalist out of Texas. Throughout the Coronavirus crisis Derek has been getting some great cars, and still doing great reviews. You can find him on Instagram and YouTube at "There Will Be Cars". What makes Derek unique, at least in my mind, is that he writes reviews for multiple publications. That means he has to take different photos and change the writing of the review a little so each company has a unique story to publish. Crazy, right?
Derek and I met at a Toyota Corolla launch event where we were drive partners. We got along crazy well and talk pretty much daily either via text or Instagram messaging. I believe Derek is a damn fine writer, and I enjoy his YouTube videos. He's an important part of the motoring media, and I'm jealous of the cars he gets.

Episode 11 - Steven Lang
Wednesday Apr 22, 2020
Wednesday Apr 22, 2020
Steven Lang is an auctioneer, car dealer, and automotive journalist. You can find him on his Facebook page "48 Hours and A Used Car", and you can find his writing in Car and Driver, The /DRIVE, Yahoo Autos, and Thrillist. In this podcast you will hear Steven and I talk about many things, including politics, religion, women, finances, and what is happening to the used car market currently. Basically, if you're in the market for a used car, this is the guy to listen to.

Episode 10 - Brian Makse
Monday Apr 20, 2020
Monday Apr 20, 2020
Brian Makse is a racing driver, racing instructor, and a journalist. Brian has raced everything from a purpose-built Honda Civic and the Nissan Micra Cup, all the way to Trophy Trucks and a Viper ACR. Yeah, he's that much of a bad ass. He was also the racing instructor who coached Jack Baruth.
In this podcast Brian and I cover why you should sit closer to the wheel and pedals, what it's like racing a Trophy Truck, and some of the cars he's been driving. Cars we talk about: McLaren GT, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, Toyota 86, Ram pickup, the all-new GT500, why the Mazda3 is one of the best cars you'll ever drive/buy, the Ford Ranger, and so much more. We basically ramble, just because we're friends and enjoy having a chat.
You can find Brian on his website, Makse.com, Sportscar365.com/author/BrianMakse, and of course YouTube.com/BrianMakse.
